A while back, I asked Lady Vittoria Aureli for some Latin translation help, and in return I insisted upon making something for her. She decided she wanted a blackwork cuffs and collar set for her new Italian chemise. I pointed her towards Bronwen’s Blackwork Archives, which unfortunately has been shut down due to legal issues. Vittoria chose an Italian line pattern which I did for her in black silk on white evenweave art linen; I do not remember which brand of silk I used, nor do I remember the thread count of the linen. I used linen from my own stash, so it is ever so slightly off color from the rest of her chemise. She greatly appreciated the gift, however, and it adds a nice touch to her outfit, which can be seen to the right in a picture taken by the Caidan photographer Keradwc at 12 th Night 2004.
